Wes MaGee
Born in Greenock, Scotland, Wes worked as a bank clerk and National Serviceman before studying at the University of London where he began writing. Wes worked as a teacher and then head teacher at primary schools in Wiltshire, Hertfordshire and Humberside until resigning to become a full-time author in 1989. He published six poetry collections for adults, and over 90 books for children. Wes performed his poetry around the UK and overseas and his rhymes were featured on the Cbeebies programme 'Poetry Pie'.
Wes passed away in October 2021
